The fox was a popular and often occuring motif in both Victorian and Edwardian jewelry. Victorians were deeply spiritual and developed a language of symbols drawn from biblical and allegorical references and so Aesop's little fox may have had something to do with it. In allegory the fox symbolizes wit, intelligence and the ability to look out for oneself.
I feel in love with the charming fox with bright sparkling eyes from The Eden Collective and we collaborated on this necklace, making these the perfect gift for those slightly cynical but charmingly witty trail-blazers on your list.
