LOCAL LOVE

 MEET THE MERCHANT PROFILE

"Historic Kennett Square is happy to introduce you to our merchants! In this era of impersonal, generic, click through shopping it is important to support your local independent businesses. Their success is what makes this town thrive. Their love & care for you, their customers & community, is just the antidote to the big box, online experience. Authentic, heartfelt & appreciated." - Historic Kennett Square

I sat with Tara Smith, the incredible wordsmith from Historic Kennett Square, one afternoon over tea and we covered several topics such as the YoungMoms initiative, the launch of the Seaside Collection, and what I have in store for 2019 as I guide myself by "creation", my word of the year.

Thank you, Tara, it is always a pleasure to spend time with you!

Hopefully, you and your friends will want to be one of those winners!

WHY WE WEAR SKULLS

October 08, 2019

Skulls are incredibly popular in the world of design but before skulls were trendy, they were considered a symbol of power.
A symbolic representation of mortality spanning back to the 15th century, people adorned themselves with amulets sculpted into skulls and/or skeletons to serve as their personal talisman. This reminder became known as "memento mori", which translates to "remember you must die".
